Virginia's belly after her third birth is impressive…

Despite having given birth just 15 days ago, the influencer Virginia impressed her followers by appearing with a flat stomach on Instagram.

On September 8, Zé Felipe's wife gave birth to her third child, José Leonardo. Since then, she has been sharing her body's evolution. Yesterday, she underwent lymphatic drainage and posted the before and after of the procedure on her Stories.

In the comments, fans couldn't help but notice how quickly Virgínia got back into shape before her pregnancy.

Why shouldn't we compare ourselves?

Returning to pre-pregnancy body characteristics is a process that takes time (much more than 15 days, you know?) and happens individually, varying according to factors such as age, weight gain in the last 9 months, undergoing aesthetic procedures, the possibility of practicing physical exercises and adherence to a specific diet.

In addition, the emotional support and care for the newborn that the mother receives can make all the difference. Therefore, Don't demand too much from yourself or compare yourself to the influencer!

Important postpartum habits

It is important to note that we are not saying that it is not necessary to maintain healthy habits after giving birth. We just say that aesthetics should not be so important at this time.

At this stage of life, concerns about diet and physical exercise need to be focused on the health and general well-being of the body:

Drink more water

Even if you have this good habit and carry a water bottle with you, you will need a lot more during breastfeeding. “At least 3 liters per day,” calculates clinical nutritionist Marina Feliconio, from São Paulo. “Opt for water, because juices, although healthy, can be very caloric. If you drink teas, avoid those that contain caffeine, such as black tea, because this substance passes to the baby through the milk and can make him agitated.”

Eat every 3 hours

This precious rule is important to keep blood sugar levels stable, avoiding hunger pangs. “Many women breastfeed during the night. I recommend that they even have a snack in the middle of the night if they are hungry – a yogurt, for example,” says Marina Feliconio.

Avoid certain foods to prevent cramps

“Although colic is related to the maturation of the baby’s intestinal flora, it is possible to help the baby get through this phase more calmly by taking care of the mother’s diet,” says obstetrician Julio Elito Jr. Nutritionist Nayara Massunaga, from VP Consultoria Nutricional, in São Paulo, recommends keeping an eye on foods that cause flatulence, such as cabbage, chickpeas, onions and sweets, as they can also cause discomfort in the baby. Chocolate is also suspected of having this effect.

Beware of chemical additives

“It is also worth remembering that additives present in processed foods, as well as pesticides used in the production of various vegetables, fruits and legumes, can be transferred to breast milk, and consequently to the child. It is time to seek a diet with the most natural profile possible”, she recommends.
